Coaching sessions: Every Wednesday and Friday evening
Opening Comments
It’s here folks!
This has been a turning point for our teams in the leagues but also its crunch time for the country.
As an impartial observer, I hope we manage to elect a government that is capable of running the country with a majority. We cannot go on with the dithering and political infighting that has irritated us for over three years since the people (albeit by a very small majority) voted to leave the EU. I voted to stay, but now we have to leave in the least painful way possible to allow our great nation and our great guests from other
countries (Kris and Jo) to move forward. Pick wisely, oh table tennis players!
It’s been a mixed week for our teams. TTTA1 handed out a thrashing to luckless Brixham Gulls and
our ‘mighty midgets’, Kacper and Allesandro
continued their march to the top in fine fashion.

Division One
TTTA1 beat Brixham Gulls 10-0
Patrik, Lenard and Warren thrashed the Gulls as the team has done to Brixham teams very consistently this season. Nuff said, I guess
Division Two
TTTA2 lost to Marldon Tykes 6-4
Mighty Mat Coper put the disappointment of losing a game last week aside to conquer all comers for his maximum in great style.
Given Lucas’ form of late he had a tough night at the net losing two but turning in ‘one for he team’ with team mate Elsa having to endure a clash of styles or when the chance did come to open up a really good attacking player in ‘The Wizard’ Steve Tyler.
TTTA3 beat NA Hawks 7-3
Kacper and Alessandro have not only settled into division 2 but are literally blowing away all comers. It’s quite scary to see such youth improving so fast that the old timers are under pressure from the first ball that simply flies past them. Is division 1 next year to much of an ask?
William Bevan despite his talent had a tough ask against the wily old dogs not quite having the attacking consistency of Kacper, but it surely can’t be too far away?
Division Three
TTTA4 lost to Torre Titans 2-8
Joint top of the table Titans continued the work set by their second team giving 4 a real run
for their money despite Ed beating their best player in a very tough game.
Tim slogger Shears put in a very good shift which he was happy with, but just didn’t win…..again !!!
David Rowsell almost launched his bat through the wall in disappointment but still contributed to the team effort.
Overall a very disappointing evening and they are slipping down the table. Hopefully an easier game next week against Brixham!
TTTA5 beat NA Kites 8-2
Our 5 have been slowly improving and getting some very good
wins and have now overtaken 4 in the points. Neville and French Dave too honours with John Fowler narrowly losing out to Derek Stratton
in a photo finish.
Division Four
TTTA6 VS Dawlish (In dispute?)
It is alleged that something peculiar has happened here and there is a ‘stewards enquiry.’ I will update you when I know the truth!! Suspicious
TTTA7 Drew with NA Merlins 5-5
A draw. Good play by William Hall and Jonathan Davidson. Peter had a night to forget.
