Torbay Table Tennis Academy has recruited ‘Bob’, a specialist professional sports journalist who writes under a pseudonym to protect his, or her, impartiality. Tasked with filling you in with the story behind the results.
Any complaints will be read carefully and binned with immediate effect!

Introduction
Torbay Table Tennis Academy is a lovely club with over sixty playing members. Wednesday and Friday evenings are home to members of all ages and standards, all training to improve, with great coaches and assistant coaches to help with the journey.
Behind the net is designed to give an enlightened and humorous look at what’s happening throughout the club and its league and junior team members.
New members of all ages and abilities are very welcome.

Every Wednesday and Friday evening
Mini TT Club – ‘Busy Bees’
‘Busy Bees’ is specifically for young players, aged 5-8, and offers a great way to introduce children to table tennis by playing games and having fun.
Beginners & intermediate juniors
These sessions are open to children aged 8-16 who wish to master their table tennis skills, have fun and do more exercise after school.
Intermediate Adult & league players
These are structured sessions with match play at the end and run by three or four coaches. Players are split into groups depending on skill level.
Adult Social Group – just for fun
The emphasis of this group is to have fun and enjoy the sport with like-minded members. An ideal starting point for anyone returning to the sport.

We are always looking for new members of all ages. Our club is extremely friendly. Whether you’re thinking of returning to table tennis after a few years, wanting to start a new sport to get fit, or moving clubs, please get in touch or come along to one of sessions.
